Mark Sprada

Mark Sprada, MSN, RN, CENP, is senior vice president of operations for Southern Florida at VITAS Healthcare, the nation's leading provider of end-of-life care.

Mark joined VITAS in 2026 with more than 30 years of healthcare leadership experience across clinical care, operations, human resources and leadership. He served in a variety of senior leadership roles and is known for building strong teams, improving quality and supporting caregivers in delivering exceptional patient care.

Mark’s work with VITAS began in management consulting while he continued to practice as a bedside registered nurse with Piedmont Healthcare in Georgia, reflecting his deep commitment to patients, families and the teams who care for them every day.

Prior to VITAS, Mark spent most of his career in acute care, serving in various roles including chief executive officer, chief human resources officer, chief nursing and chief operating officer.

Mark earned his bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Cincinnati and his master’s degree in nursing from the University of Arizona. He is certified in executive nursing practice and remains actively engaged in advancing healthcare leadership and organizational excellence.
